Are you a supportive contact centre Team Leader with experience working in retentions and/or sales?

We are working with our longstanding client, a market-leading insurance provider with its recruitment of a Specialist Team Leader to lead their retentions team. You will report to the Sales and Retention Manager and lead a team of 10 specialist retention agents who take calls from customers who either want to cancel or change their policy or have a low level grievance which customer service can't resolve.

Culturally, the team has a blend of longer tenure staff as well as newer additions who have joined as part of the continued growth of the business. Everyone is committed to positive outcomes, ethical working practises and delivering the highest level of service to retain customers.

The Team Leader must be able to command respect from their team through respectful, flexible and insightful leadership and be a strong and capable performance and people manager. In addition to your daily leadership duties, you will be responsible for monthly 1-2-1s, yearly appraisals, handling grievance and disciplinary issues and do all of this with a positive attitude.

It's important that you are able to work collaboratively with your team, your direct manager and other members of your peer group as it's the leadership figures within the business which makes the people, their teams and the company the huge success that it is.
To be considered for this role, you must have a solid sales and retention background with an ability to upsell and cross-sell. Previous leadership experience within this area is also needed.

This is a hybrid working opportunity which will require you onsite in Aylesbury at least once a week. The working hours are 9.00am - 5.00pm; Monday to Friday and you will be rota'd to work 1 in 5 Saturdays; 9.00am - 1.00pm. During the week which includes a Saturday, you will work the other 4 days; 9.00am - 6.00pm. The basic salary range is £30,000 - £32,000, you will also receive monthly commissions based on your teams performance.
