About the Role
Hatfield – Hybrid (3 days on-site, likely moving to St Albans)
Salary up to £50,000
12-month FTC
We’re working with a globally recognised organisation to recruit a Business Process Analyst to join their Client Operations team on a 12-month FTC. This is a newly focused BA opportunity where you’ll have the autonomy to build and shape the Business Analysis function within Client Operations from the ground up.
Rather than joining a project delivery team and being handed a defined project brief, you’ll be embedded within the operations function, taking a proactive approach to understanding how the business works, identifying opportunities to improve processes, and recommending where changes, new systems or automation could make a meaningful difference.
You’ll own the ongoing process landscape, documentation and change governance, while also supporting larger operational projects through requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement.
If you’re an experienced BA who enjoys finding problems, asking questions and driving improvements rather than simply delivering someone else’s requirements, this could be an excellent opportunity.
The Role:
You’ll take ownership of the Business Analysis capability within Client Operations, working closely with operational and technical stakeholders to understand how things work today and identify how they could work better.
Your responsibilities will include:
We’re looking for someone who has worked within a business or operations environment, rather than primarily operating as a project-based BA within a delivery or transformation function.
You’ll ideally have experience of:
The Person:
You’ll be analytical, logical and methodical, but equally comfortable getting out from behind the desk and speaking to the people who actually operate the processes. You’ll be naturally curious, willing to challenge the status quo and confident enough to say “there must be a better way of doing this” – then work out what that better way looks like.
You’ll need strong stakeholder skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to operate autonomously, while also knowing when to bring others into the conversation.
Most importantly, you’ll enjoy building something rather than simply inheriting it.
Why This Opportunity?
This is an opportunity to have a genuine impact on how a global organisation operates. You’ll have the freedom to establish the BA function within Client Operations, assess the current landscape, identify where improvements can be made and help shape the way processes are managed going forward.
Alongside this proactive remit, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to larger operational projects, giving you a broad and varied role across process, people, technology and customer experience.
This role is being managed by Tim at CCP Recruitment. If you’re an experienced Business Analyst or Business Process Analyst who enjoys working autonomously, improving operations and building something from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today!

You’ll take ownership of the Business Analysis capability within Client Operations, working closely with operational and technical stakeholders to understand how things work today and identify how they could work better.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build and establish the BA function within Client Operations, creating the approach, processes and standards for business analysis.
- Proactively review end-to-end operational processes to identify inefficiencies, duplication, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop your own recommendations for process changes, simplification, new systems and automation.
- Conduct AS-IS / TO-BE analysis and turn findings into practical, actionable improvements.
- Identify opportunities to standardise processes and introduce best practice across operations.
- Own and maintain high-quality SOPs, process documentation and process maps.
- Establish and maintain change logs and clear audit trails for operational process changes.
- Develop detailed process and customer journey maps across business and system landscapes.
- Use tools such as Miro, Lucid, Visio or Figma to clearly visualise processes and journeys.
- Work directly with operational teams to understand challenges and translate them into improvement opportunities.
- Gather and define business requirements for larger operational projects, as part of a broader BA remit.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews and discovery sessions with key stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between business operations and technical teams, ensuring operational needs are properly understood.
- Support the implementation and embedding of process improvements and ensure changes are documented and communicated effectively.
- Continuously monitor the operational process landscape and proactively identify further opportunities to improve efficiency and customer experience.
We’re looking for someone who has worked within a business or operations environment, rather than primarily operating as a project-based BA within a delivery or transformation function.
You’ll ideally have experience of:
- 3–5 years’ experience in Business Analysis, Business Process Analysis or a similar operational improvement role.
- Being embedded within an operations/business function and proactively identifying improvements.
- Reviewing processes independently and making recommendations rather than simply working from a predetermined project brief.
- Process mapping and journey mapping, using tools such as Miro, Lucid, Visio or Figma.
- Creating and maintaining SOPs, process documentation and change logs.
- Identifying opportunities for automation, simplification and operational efficiency.
- Working with a range of stakeholders to understand requirements and drive change.
- Communicating complex information clearly and translating it into practical solutions.
- Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Being the first BA within a business area or operational function.
- Setting up or establishing a BA/process improvement capability.
- Having autonomy to assess an operation and determine where improvements should be made.
- A background in business operations, customer operations or service operations.
- A track record of taking an idea from identifying an opportunity through to implementing the improvement.
