In this diverse and stimulating role, you will report to and work closely with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team across both companies to meet and exceed their business goals.
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. The company will soon be moving to an office in Loughton which is easily accessible by car and public transport.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Manage the office and junior staff, including reviews, annual leave and ensuring working is completed to a high standard.
- Respond to client enquiries in a timely manner, including being the main contact for larger clients.
- Support diary management for senior staff, including meeting organisations both in person and remotely.
- Be responsible for payments for the business, managing bank, cheque, or card payments and maintaining an expenditure trail for audit purposes.
- Pursue debtors through various channels and procedures, including county court proceedings.
- Attend to insurance policy renewals, updates, and claims.
- Oversea anti money laundering policies, procedures, and daily implantation to ensure compliance.
- Draw up engagement documents and tenancy agreements for agreed templates.
- Protect tenant deposits to ensure full legal compliance.
- Arrange repairs and inspections with contractors, including gas safety and electrical certificates.
- Assist with the acquisition and development of commercial and residential property. This includes liaising with solicitors, agents, architects, planning consultants, local authorities, heritage specialists, etc.
- Assisting the Managing Director and their family with various personal affairs – e.g., booking travel, arranging vehicle MOTs, road tax, etc.
- Assisting with recruitment/induction of new staff.
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office – especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail including the ability to draft and analyse complex documents.
- The ability to work under pressure and manage a demanding workload, within a team and independently.
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.
- Approachable with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude.
- Grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths.
- The ability to work with discretion on personal matters.
Desirable:
- Understanding of tax/accountancy and the property sector.
- University Degree or apprenticeship qualification.
- At least 3 years’ work experience in a similar role or at a senior level.
- DBS check.
