Due to continued growth and demand, CCP has been asked by an established housing association to assist them with appointment of several Customer Service Advisor to join their Early Intervention team as soon as possible. Within this award winning contact centre, you will be expected to support the Income Collection function to maximise and sustain rental income and prevent escalating arrears. Part of the role will be supporting campaigns, proactively contacting customers and managing payment arrangements.

Customer Service Early Intervention Officers work onsite Monday to Friday, flexible shifts would fall between from 8am to 8:30pm (either 8am to 3:30pm or 12pm to 8:30pm). There would also be some occasional Saturday working, typically one in three weekends. The starting salary is £22,500 with the opportunity to increase to £25,000 (subject to performance). We would love to hear from those with experience in housing, debt collection or credit control. Applicants with a strong phone based/contact centre customer service background will also be considered.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
  • Customer focused and able to demonstrate high levels of customer service via digital and traditional channels.
  • Effective negotiation skills, managing business and customer requirements to reach an agreed solution.
  • Able to use own initiative, solve problems and offer advice..
  • Willing and flexible to respond positively to challenges.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, remaining calm and to deadlines.
  • Reliable team player who can effectively work in challenging circumstances.
  • Previous call centre/contact centre experience.

Desirable:
  • Experience working in a housing environment.
  • Experience working in debt collection.
  • Knowledge of Universal Credit.
