We are proud to be supporting an established financial institution with the appointment of a skilled Resource Planning Analyst to join their dedicated team as soon as possible. The role will initially be on a 6 months FTC with the potential to extend dependant of clients’ needs and success of assignment. This successful and long standing building society can offer a very flexible hybrid working model with just 1 day a month working in the office.
 
The successful Resource Planning Analyst will be accountable for operational optimisation through effective forecasting, planning, scheduling and utilisation of resources. You will be expected to provide analysis and recommendations to increase efficiency, reduce cost/risk and influence strategic decisions.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Produce accurate and suitable schedules ensuring resource is implemented to achieve service level targets.
  • Maintain and influence a workforce planning solution and monitor actual and forecasted FTE against budgets and variance.
  • Support recruitment with analysis of change of contract/hours requests, taking into account company policies.
  • Analyse performance and business information and make data driven suggestions to achieve operational and cost efficiencies.
  • Analyse variances and share findings to drive performance improvements.
  • Undertake root cause analysis where service issues arise and make suggestions to stakeholders to reduce future reoccurrence.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify potential peaks and troughs to reduce risk to customer service and operational costs, and make suggestions on suitable courses of action.
  • Understand and adhere to processes and procedures to minimise risk.
  • Provide financial analysis of headcount budget.
 
Experience, knowledge and qualifications:
  • Understanding of key principles of Resource Planning methodologies.
  • Experience in workforce planning and optimisation.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of telephony application and Workforce Management (WFM) systems.
  • Experience within a Regulated Industry.
 
Skills, abilities and behaviours:
  • Strong analytical, planning, organisation and computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent communicational skills, including verbal, written and presentations and able to build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Problem solving, especially analysing variances and accurately pinpointing root cause to suggest corrective actions.
  • Ability to balance workloads with high attention to detail, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Pro-active mindset with a clear focus on quality who is open to personal development.
  • Reliable, adaptable, positive and attentive.
